Well long time no see. I havent been active when it come to updating my archive the last 5 months. I will update when I feel the art work is good enought. But I have been posting some commetns here and there. Recently I got into a argument/Discution with an artist that will remind nameless.

What happen was as follows. She\he had done a commision for some ones character that was supose to be muscular. I dident feel that the character look muscular and said "in my opinion" you should add more volume to get the right look. She\he Replied.

"You are worng, Not my character Not my design"

the discution went back and forward about design and if the artist that was commisoned had and right to change design and more inportant she\he feelt that because it wasent her original character, but some elses which she had been commisoned to draw. I had no right to comment on the design. Well she/he has yet to reply on my last note. Because the only argument she could use was "not my character, not my design"

Well ladys and gentelmen this has to be the singel dumbest thing I have ever heard. Lets cut the bull and go right to the core of things. We are Artist for crying out lound. We do not have any rulles to follow. If so then 99% of poelpe on Da arnt drawing cat's, people ect the way the should be and should just quit drawing. When some one comisions you to draw ther charcater, cat or what ever. They excpect you the artist to not only do it in your style (which BTW is a form of design), but you interpritation of the character. Anything else is a poor excuse of lack of conseptual practice, and I find any body that would stick to the frase "not my character, not my design" to be a poor artists. the only time I can contoplate that that line can be used is if you are working for a studio animator for a mjor company.

No do you agree or diagree and if so why and give me good a reasons. and no personal atacks (I know that I used the word the dumbest) but the person I was discusing with was les than forcoming in the way she/he replyed and I got windup by it.
